Ultrasound Gallery for Baby #7!

Here's the page where I'll record all the ultrasound pictures for my 7th precious baby! :)

The first scan was at 8 weeks, to check for a reason for some light bleeding. Here's my first glimpse of my sweetie!...




See the little leg extended in the second photo! I love every tiny stumpy detail. Completely in love x7! :)


Next came the first routine scan at 12 weeks (and one day):






The baby was very relaxed! One little hand up in front of the face/nose area - you can see the fingers in the pictures. The other arms was stretched casually up over the baby's head, which you can't really see in the pictures because of the cross-sectioning, but it was so sweet to see! If we're guessing on gender, based on the nub theory (or "angle of the dangle"), the very obvious nub in the pictures looks girly, but it's on the early side to be sure, so we will have to wait and see at the 21 week scan! We will be happy either way! :)

Ultrasound Gallery for Baby #6!

This is the ultrasound gallery for all of the scan pictures I get for my 6th baby, currently known as 'Sausage' (until we know the gender and the name!) :)

Due to a lot of bleeding from 3 weeks pregnant onwards, I had an early scan at 6 weeks and 5 days, where we saw a sweet little blob with a tiny flickering heartbeat. The baby was squished up against the wall of my uterus, and against the yolk sac on the other side, and we could not 100% clearly see whether there was another baby behind the first one! Sometimes it looked like a mirrored heartbeat next to it as well. So I was booked for a second scan 10 days later. I didn't get a picture at the first one, but here's the picture from the second scan:



The picture above is from my second ultrasound, at 8 weeks and 1 day pregnant. This was mainly to confirm whether there was ONE baby, or another one hiding behind Sausage! ;) Also to check on the subchorionic haematoma. Sausage (only one!) was measuring accurately for dates, and was wiggly, apparently! He/she was standing on his/her head in this photo, with the yolk sac behind the little bottom. Such a sweet little person! :)







Sausage's ultrasound pictures from the scan at 12 weeks and 5 days - measuring spot on for dates (well, a day behind but hardly worth mentioning!). SUCH a wiggly baby that I had a hard time really getting a good look at the genital tubercle. What I did see of it seemed kind of angled to me (sometimes really quite an angle) but he/she was flinging his/her pelvis around, lol! So it was hard to say. Probably a boy though! ;) Sweet little baby! In all the pictures (which the sonographer found hard to take as the little one wouldn't keep still enough!), Sausage was playing with his/her feet and kicking and punching about!  Here are the pictures from Elijah's 20 week scan, where we got good confirmation that he is definitely a boy! ;) 

Little knee-to-face!  Profile - not the best picture, but still happy to have it! :)  My favourite! So darling - his little face straight on! I love the tiny features, his heart-shaped face and tiny chinny!

Samuel's Ultrasound Gallery

First scan at 12 weeks and 3 days (baby measuring 12w5d) - see the nub in the first picture?! Looks boyish to me! :) The "cloud" on the last two pics is, um, my bowel, apparently! ;)









Here are the ultrasound pictures from the scan I had at 20 weeks and 2 days. I got 3 sweet little profile pictures which remind me so much of Nathan, but actually they look ever so like Benjamin's profile pictures from his 20 week scan! We also got photographic evidence confirming that he is indeed a boy - Samuel Robert, our FIFTH baby boy!! :D









So excited, and I can't WAIT to meet him! :)

Benjamin's Ultrasound Gallery!

My ultrasound scan pictures during my fourth pregnancy.

This is Babydot at 6 weeks and 3 days. Babydot is the little grey blobby peanut at the bottom of the black gestational sac, and the yolk sac is the little grey blobby thing above Babydot in there. Babydot measured right on for dates, and I saw the heart beating so clearly! You can just make out a tiny white-ish dot in the middle of Babydot, which is part of the heart in mid-pulsate :)

Here is sweet Babydot at 12 weeks and 5 days, at the nuchal scan! We got such a clear picture, I'm so pleased! It's the first time we've got a really clear view of the "angle of the dangle" with the genital nub there (it's the little bright white protrusion alongside Babydot's leg, sticking up!). It's an absolutely 100% totally classic BOY nub, seriously. Girl nubs are angled at less than 30 degrees from the spine, and most will lie actually parallel to the spine! Babydot is a BOY, but we'll wait for the big scan to be totally sure! ;) "He" was the most incredibly laid-back little baby person in there - see how he's using the placenta as a pillow?!

These two scan pictures are from the 20 week scan, where we found out for sure that Babydot is indeed a boy! :) We don't have a name for him yet though, unlike other pregnancies at this stage! He was laid-back still, but pretty wiggly. He had his little hand up for these pictures, and with the weird angle of the picture, you can see his little boy bits sticking out of his pelvis in the picture where his hand is clearly visible by his forehead! He has Nathan's sticky-outy top lip. I am completely besotted and can't wait to meet him!

Nathan's Ultrasound Gallery!

My ultrasound scan pictures from my third pregnancy, with Nathan.

Here is Beanlet's first photo! It was an ultrasound at 8 weeks exactly (Beanlet measured 8 weeks and 1 day), due to spotting. I turned the picture on its side and then added rather badly written labels! Which is the second picture that you see :) Then you can make out Beanlet's head and limb buds and fun things like that!

At 10 weeks and 5 days I had a really heavy bleed, and I got another ultrasound scan two days later as a result. This picture is from the scan at exactly 11 weeks - Beanlet measured 11 weeks and 1 day:

Here are three very similar pictures of Beanlet from the nuchal scan, at exactly 13 weeks. Beanlet measured 13 weeks and 1 day - a day ahead for the third time running, so my due date was changed by one day. You can see Beanlet's little hand up by his/her face in a couple of these! He/she is lying on the placenta (the nice thick grey cushion underneath Beanlet!):

Here are the two ultrasound pictures from the "Big Scan" at 21 weeks, where we found out that Beanlet is a BOY, and thus a Nathan! :) We didn't get as many pictures this time as with Matthew, and the two we got were basically the same, but Nathan was rubbing his nose with his hand during the photos, which was really sweet! Here he is!

Matthew's Ultrasound Gallery!

My ultrasound scan pictures from my second pregnancy, with Matthew.

Matthew at 12 weeks, 2 days:

You can see Matthew's little hand up by the face there, and the white of the spine in the torso. Matthew measured 58.7mm long from crown to rump here.

This is Matthew's ultrasound picture when he was measured. See how he is scrunching his chin onto the chest, thus making it a STUPID moment to take a crown-to-rump measurement?! Tsk. Anyway, you can also see a little better detail of Matthew's face, and also a full leg complete with tiny foot pressing me in the tummy! The squiggly looking thing around Matthew's hip area is the umbilical cord. You can also see the nuchal fold at the spinal area behind the neck.

This is just a very close-up image of Matthew's spine and neck area, to do the nuchal fold measurement. You can see the markers measuring it! His nuchal fold measured 1.7mm, well within the normal range :)

Photos from the BIG ultrasound at 21 weeks and 5 days!!

Here's the first one - a profile of Matthew with his little head and his arm (bent up to his face) and shoulder. You can see his knee bent at the far left of the picture. At the top, on the "ceiling" you can see a grey bulge of my placenta with a squiggle of umbilical cord coming down from it:

The second one is a lovely image of part of Matthew's face - I love this one because it's the clearest one of the finer details. On the right of the picture there is a huge mass of grey which is a cross-section of his tummy - the angle was looking up his body towards his face. There's a grey mass on the top left which is my placenta, and below that (on the left of the picture) is his little face, the top part of it is in "shadow", and you can clearly see his nose (and nostrils) and his lips and chin. Below his face is the squiggly umbilical cord, and just next to his chin below the placenta you can see a few fingers of one of his little hands. I love this picture!

Here are Matthew's unmistakeable boy parts!!! His thighs/buttocks are the v-ish shape on the right of the picture, and the obvious boy bits in between! There are two circles of the cross-sections of his calves as they come back down into the image, from being bent at the knee above. Again, you can see my placenta up on the left and the squiggly umbilical cord coming down from it :) I love my placenta!

And finally, another profile image. This one is a little clearer in the face, and I love that you can see his little hand with his fingers curled over, above his tummy, and his leg bent up on the left:

Arthur's Ultrasound Gallery!

My ultrasound scan pictures from my first pregnancy (so exciting!), with Arthur in 2004.

5 weeks, 6 days

You can see the yolk sac just about, in the top image especially. It sort of looks the the top edge of a round polo mint (as the sonographer described it!). Arthur was still too tiny to be seen at this stage. The black gestational sac measured only 1.5cm across!

7 weeks, 0 days

Arthur's first photo!! This scan took place just 8 days after the previous one, and already he has grown so much! He measured over 6mm long from crown to rump, which put him at a gestational age of 6 weeks, 4 days. But I knew he was 7 weeks and just taking his time to grow :) Arthur is the little "bean" shaped object in the black gestational sac, and the round thing next to him is his yolk sac. I love this picture. It looks like he's holding a balloon!

13 weeks, 0 days

Here is Arthur at his dating scan, now measuring right on target to the exact day! He measured 13 weeks exactly, which is how pregnant I was at the time. The picture is roughly life-size I believe. He was such a weeny boy for such amazing detail! We did see his boy bits at this scan but the sonographer would not comment on them, and Neil and I had to leave feeling like we were SURE we saw boy parts, but couldn't be 100% because maybe we were just being amateurs or something! In this picture you can see his facial profile, his brain, his ear, his nuchal fold (the black strip along his spine at the back of his neck), his heart, his little body, and the faint outline of his legs as they are bent up to his tummy and then up towards the top right of the picture. He swallowed the amniotic fluid a lot when this picture was taken. His little lips look slightly pursed, but that's because he was literally mid-swallow! He had just closed his mouth before opening it again for another drink! :)

21 weeks, 6 days

Arthur's big ultrasound! Here we found out for sure that he is 100% boy! His boy bits were so clear and sticky-outie that the sonographer even commented on how clear and easy it was to tell his gender! The first image is a good one of his facial profile. The second one shows a better image of his little knee which is drawn up to his chest, almost on his chin! And the 3rd picture is a facial image, which I think is soooo cute. You can see his eyeball, and a rather inaccurate image of his nose (it's not that big!), and his little mouth and soft cheeks, and pointy chin. I think he's so beautiful.

We are not scheduled for any more ultrasounds during this pregnancy, so this page is probably complete, but I'll upload more images if we happen to have another one! Can't wait to meet my sweet little boy! :)
